    19. Why generations matter.

    21. Boomers.

    33. The Agent

    35. The Bodyguard

    45. #4. Über competitive and entrepreneurial. Work = ‘The Apprentice’ x ‘Dragons’ Den’

    46. #5. WLB is more than a buzz word: flexi-working, part-time, gap years, home working.

    47. #6. “I want feedback and I want it NOW!”

    48. #7. Brand-literate.

    52. #9. Responds best to coaches not bosses.

    59. Speech by Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft, at Mount Whitney High School, Visalia, California. Speech by Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft, at Mount Whitney High School, Visalia, California.

    60. Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it.

    61. Rule 2: The world will not care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself.

    62. Rule 3: You will not make $40,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a CEO with a car phone until you earn both.

    63. Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss.

    64. Rule 5: Flipping burgers is NOT beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger-flipping - they called it OPP-OR-TUN-ITY.

    65. Rule 6: If you mess up, it is not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

    66. Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So, before you save the rain forest, try delousing the closet in your own room.

    67. Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools they have abolished fail grades and they give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to anything in real life.

    68. Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that in your own time.

    69. Rule 10: Television is not real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

    70. Rule 11: “Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.”
