    9. 3. Illinois Advisory Committee on Military Education The purpose of an ACME is to: Promote, support, and deliver meaningful education within all branches of the Armed Services. Provide a forum for the discussion of current issues and planning for future programming.

    10. Illinois Advisory Committee on Military Education Review the concerns and problems brought before the Council and make recommendations to the appropriate agency or entity. Encourage cooperative and coordinated efforts, leading to improved functioning of the Council. Recognize the achievements of those persons and organizations that have contributed to the advancement of education opportunities.

TROOPS TO TEACHERS TTT is a US Dept of Education and DOD program that helps eligible military personnel begin a new career as teachers in public schools The TTT office provides counseling and referral services to military personnel interested in beginning a second career in public education as well as helping applicants identify teacher certification requirements, programs leading to certification and employment opportunities.
