  2. Comfort is the foremost aim while building a home and designing the interiors. A combination of luxury and aesthetics are key requirements of modernity. Here are some interior materials that are currently trending in architecture that create unique impacts. • Terracotta Terracotta is a “baked earth”, clay-based earthenware used for a variety of purposes from ancient times. terracotta is said to be the combination of five esoteric elements of nature - fire, air, water, earth, and ether which are known to bring life. It is also believed that it is the only clay used until the 14th century. Terracotta is directly related to pottery and brings back a lot of memories, it is a kind of art clay that never fails to amaze. The most common use of terra-cotta was for bricks, tiles, pottery work, and coffins. The most pleasing example of terracotta architecture is the Victorian and Albert Museum. Material is a combination of four vital elements: air, earth, fire, and water known for bringing to life. The terracotta is the functional type and is commonly in use because of its affordability, flexibility, versatility, and durability. This refined clay is formed into the desired shape and dried after that it is placed in heat or kiln. The fire results in the object turning into a reddish color. The use of pottery is not limited to certain things but is widely used for decorative purposes. So using the terracotta word and not linking it to the interior is a great fail. Terracotta art pieces are used to give an aesthetic appearance to the home. Other terracotta works like tiles, pots, earthenware, and many more.

  3. Upcycled Materials The more we are moving forward towards the modern era, the more we start to create a concern for the environment. It is very important to understand the issues that might lead us to have a difficult situation in the future and the easiest option that comes in front of us is reclaiming and reusing the waste. Yes, it is easy, if we try to incorporate the use of waste material while reducing production and energy consumption. Use of waste in construction and interior by re-designing objects or materials with an approach of upcycling. The most produced waste material is agro-waste and plastic. Both this material has tremendous benefits and uses. Plastic has a great lifespan and versatility.

  4. Plastic is lightweight and is extensively used for paneling, flooring, and furniture including chairs and tables. Also, there are many more designed objects that can give an aesthetic interior look. • Duco/ Enamel Paint Finish Interior is all about a pleasing appearance that makes you feel comfortable and soothing to the eye. Also, it is not easy to achieve what we desire but also not hard if you know what you want. Duco or enamel paint is a great alternative to finish the plywood. The enamel paint gives a smooth and attractive finish. Instead of replacing the object just due to its external damage can cost you much higher but Duco offers the opportunities to enrich dull elements. Duco is long-lasting, resists wear and tear, has water resistance, attractive, high-gloss finish giving the multiple colors options.

  5. This enamel paint is used for finishing all types of wooden furniture, and kitchen furniture including wardrobe, cabinets, doors, and window frames. • Lime Plaster Lime plaster is a combination of sand, water, and lime. It is usually non-hydraulic hydrated lime, binding material used in mortar for plastering. Even before paints were used, lime plaster was already in use. Lime plaster gives a chalky, unfinished effect. Lime plaster prevents dampness and is very long-lasting. It needs less energy to produce, has the ability to absorb carbon dioxide, improves air quality, and is a great eco-friendly option. Lime plaster presents a variety of applications in terms of pigments and creating the texture. Best plaster to have a soft, unique, natural, and pleasing look.

  6. Common applications of lime plaster making the instant unique aesthetic change are used on the stairs, brick and stone walls, external architecture objects, internal elements like fireplace, kitchen elements, and many more. • Printed Handmade Cement Tiles There are numerous types of tiles available in the market conventional tiles made of porcelain, ceramic, or vitrified tiles are common in use. But do you know you can be unique with the use of printed handmade cement tiles? These are not just common handmade objects but are known to give the ethnic style statement. These encaustic cement tiles were used mostly during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These tiles are rich in colors so you are available with numerous decor options.

  7. Cement tiles are slip-proof, highly durable, environmentally friendly, and easy to clean and maintain. The designs are printed on tiles by placing a stencil in a square tile mould. The pattern stencils are filled with a mixture of pigments, marble powder, and cement. Used in bathroom floors, bathroom walls, terrace flooring, garden floors, and for various cladding purposes too. Available in unique designs, solid and patterned colors, large selection to choose from. While making choices and combining all the materials to have the perfect interior design project might sound difficult, having an understanding of materials, time, and patience helps to have better alignment of design giving a functional and pleasing look.
