  2. pH Predictions • Lithmus paper is used to test pH. • Find 10 liquids(orsolidsthat can be dissolved in water) in the room you want to test (appropriately!) • Predict whether the liquid is an acid, a base, or neutral. Thenpredictthe pH. Record your prediction in your SNB. • Set up 10 wells to test. Using the lithmus paper, test the result. • Record the actual pH. Do you reject or accept you hypothesis?

  4. Lab guidelines • Wear goggles • Label each sample • Wash out eye dropper thoroughly between each sample • Clean up all supplies when finished –scrub well!
