Where can you go? • North America • Acknowledged universities • Few places, many applicants • South- and Central America • Mexico, Chile, Peru • Speak Spanish? – great possibilities • Europe • Erasmus scholarship • Important political trading partners • The Nordic Countries • International environment • Erasmus or Norek • Asia • Rapidly becoming a more important trading partner • Australia and New Zealand • Few places, many applicants

  5. Admission requirements • Minimum grade average: C • No pending subjects • Applications with ONE pending subject may be considered for exchange within Europe. • Some universities have language requirements • Interview for certain destinations • Decision is based on an overall evaluation!

  6. Costs & Scholarships • Tuition fee to BI only • Loan and scholarship in Lånekassen (if eligible), see www.lanekassen.no • Language scholarship (NOK 16 720) • Nb! Not if courses are conducted in English • Other scholarships: Erasmus and Norek

  7. Application process • Apply to the IRO within February 1st 2012 • Online application form: www.bi.edu/exchange • List of priorities, letter of motivation and CV • Offer: beginning of March followed by nomination • Apply to the host university • Final acceptance • Course approval • Learning Agreement – more details later in the process • Workload for Bachelor students: 30 ECTS
