  1. Who Am I? My Way of Thinking My Personality Type My Learning Style By: Joey Gonya

  2. My Way of Thinking • The way someone can discover their own “Way of Thinking” is by taking the Hemispheric Mode Indicator test. • The test will find if you think with the right, left, or both sides(global) of the brain. • If your score is: Positive=Right Side Neutral=Global Negative=Left Side

  3. My Results • The score I received with this test was a -38. • I was unanimously found to be left brained. • This means I think logically instead of intuitively. • A logical thinker usually think with details and numbers to solve daily problems.

  4. Ways of Thinking Characteristics • I problem solve by logic and I sequentially look at parts of things. • This means I look at a task and try to find the simplest way to finish it. • When I built a table previously, I looked at all of the materials I needed and what exactly I had to do for each step to finish it quickly and efficiently. • I also am responsive to the structure of my environment. • With every different area I go in to I change to adapt to the environment. • When I am out in nature, I feel more free because of the open spaces all around. I get more curious about what is around me and I explore.

  5. My Personality Type • If you would like to know what your personality type is you could take the Myers-Briggs test. • The Myers-Briggs test is a series of four tests that result in a four letter code at the end of the test. • You will find out information about yourself like: • -Are you an extrovert or an introvert? • -Are you sensing or intuitive? • -When you make decisions do you think or do you use your feelings? • -Is the lifestyle you prefer judging or perceiving?

  6. My Four Letter Code • My scores told me that I was more Introvert, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. • This gave me the code of ISFJ and also ISTP, which I agreed with more. • The saying that represents ISTP is “Ready to Try Anything Once”.

  7. Personality Characteristics • One personality characteristic I thought suited me was that I am interested in cause and effect. • This is true because many times before I have looked at something like when a friend of mine was building a small building of blocks. • I could see all of the places where I thought it was weakest and knew that if there was a place it would fall at, that was it. • My second characteristic I agreed with was that I like know how and why mechanical things work. • One example that I’ve done multiple times is taking a pen or a pencil apart. • After you take it apart, you can see every part and then you know why it does exactly what it does.

  8. My Learning Style • If you were interested in which way you learned then the Learning Style Inventory test would be best to take. • This test describes the way you learn and how you deal with ideas and day to day situations in your life. • It gave you 12 sentences that you would have to rank from 1-4 on which was most relevant to you. • Finally, you take the scores and put them in a graph form to see what type of learner you are.

  9. What Type am I? • My scores were mainly in the type two and type three learning groups. • I agreed mostly with the type three learning. • The strengths of a type three learner include the practical application of ideas. • My favorite question would be “How does this work?”.

  10. Learning Characteristics • One characteristic I agree with would be if something works, then use it. • I have seen examples of this everyday in my life. • For instance, my mom wanted to buy a new blender when we already had one that was working like it was new. I was confused on why she wanted to get a new one when this one worked just fine. • Another characteristic I agree with is that I have little tolerance for fuzzy ideas. • Just the other day, I was told that I had to go run errands for my mom and she gave me many different things to do and I told her to just keep it straight to the point because I didn’t need a bunch of ways to do something, I just needed one way.
