  2. Where are we now? Getting ready (definitely slowly/surely clearing the bush-confusion) • Building initial confidence and commitment • Getting the basics rights For the big P2P jump/shift

  3. Elements of Context • SP review in FY 09 • More than doubling of portfolio in 18 months & related management imperatives (PM)

  4. Building confidence & commitment • Send 2 staff to P2P inauguration in Bamako • Debriefing with MMT (Mission Management Team); Debriefing in two Sub-Offices • P2P Orientation for Senior Staff • Information sharing and debates

  5. Getting the basics/essentials right A. Operations management: • Projects Management Capability • Program structure re-organisation to create space (2-3 senior coordinators) for 2 high likely candidates-programs: (1) disenfranchised ANR rights (small) holders and (2) Women/Social Vulnerabilities. • Synergies/complementarities geographically clustered projects.

Our P2P first steps ( I believe!) • SP review process rolled out with “impact groups” as one of the review questions • ANR/Ghana (CDK FA-2 ) design in-built focus to program approach, with time frame for P2P alignment • On-going M&E Consultancy Mission: “measurement defines action” • Complementarities of geographic and thematic project teams • Clustering-harmonizing M&E indicators (geographic/thematic program areas)
