  2. Education • You must addend school for 11 to 12 years. • Kinder -Garden and Nursery School are optional. • The system varies throughout Germany because each state decides its own educational policies. • Most children, first attend Grundschule from the age of six to ten or 12.

  3. Greetings in Germany Man greeting Man - Men shake hands when greeting one another while maintaining direct eye contact.  A firm but fairly brief handshake is the norm. With friends, a simple hello will suffice.   Woman greeting Woman- At a first meeting, women generally shake hands while maintaining direct eye contact. Between good friends and family kissing on one or both cheeks is common. Man greeting Woman- At a first meeting a regular handshake will do. Good friends and family may engage in a light hug or a kiss on one or both cheeks.

  6. An Out look on Germany Germany is a beautiful country filled with festivals , great people, and education systems. My favorite festival is Oktoberfest which is filled with singing, dancing, eating, and drinking. Germany sounds like a fun place to live in and if I have the chance I would most likely live there.
