  1. Clinic Workflow--Original Admin staff checks in patient MA weighs pt. on hallway scale. Documents weight on clipboard. MA walks pt. to exam room. MA interviews pt for chief complaint and takes vitals. MA documents information and vitals on paper MA leaves exam room. Nurse Practitioner (NP) enters exam room and logs onto EHR. NP interviews pt. and reviews pt. history, meds. NP examines patient and obtains a rapid strep swab. NP logs onto EHR, enters rapid strep results and submits med order to pharmacy electronically NP returns to exam room. Informs pt. of positive results and treatment plan. NP educates patient. Patient returns to admin staff for check out.
