Objectives of the project • CE-objectives: • Promotion of the cooperation and improvement of the competitiveness of the Central European regions and cities • International exchange of experience in the field of integrated promotion of bicycle transportation • CMB-objectives: • Increase of bicycle share for short distances • Improvement of conditions for cyclists • Provision of information and education of decision makers on the field of integrated bicycle promotion -objectives -objectives 5

Selected activities • Analysis of deficiencies and lack of knowledge by national experts • 4 main findings: • Low level of strategic thinking of bicycle promotion • Low awareness for the potentials of cycling amongst decision makers • Hardly existing bicycle infrastructure • Some cities have already achieved success (Gdansk, Pardubice, UherskéHradiště) 1.
