  3. The Research Paper • Main emphasis on Government • Positive or negative factor? • More often then not, negative

  4. A Notable Exception • Truth and Reconciliation Commissions • Highly unusual course for governments to take • In a nutshell “Owning up”

  5. Effectiveness • Very controversial with mixed effectiveness • Built a base for peace construction efforts • Came up short in some areas • General feelings tended to be positive

  6. The Project Itself • Apology Booth • Primary inspiration came from TRC’s • Christianity served as focal point

  7. The Why • My religious background • Anger and disappointment at the way things have become • Leaving a mark

  9. Reflections • Overall: Minor success • Reached majority of goals • Met with good feedback results • Could have been much more • To other seniors- Utilize advertising as much as possible
