  1. Professor Dipak C. Jain, Director of Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University Dipak C. Jain brings extensive international experience as an educator and business school administrator to Sasin. He has been a visiting professor of marketing at Sasin since 1989. Most recently, he was The INSEAD Chaired Professor of Marketing, and served as Dean of INSEAD, based in Fontainebleau, France, from 2011-2013. He also served as Dean of the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University from 2001-2009, where he had been a faculty member since 1986. He was the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Kellogg from 1996-2001, and was the Sandy and Morton Goldman Professor in Entrepreneurial Studies and Professor of Marketing from 1994-1996. His academic career began as a student in Tezpur (Assam) India. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and statistics (1976) and his master’s degree in mathematical statistics (1978) from Gauhati University, where he taught for five years before obtaining a Ph.D. in 1987 from the University of Texas (Dallas). Professor Jain’s areas of research include: the marketing of high-technology products; market segmentation and competitive market structure analysis; cross-cultural issues and global product diffusion. He has published three books as well as more than 60 articles in leading academic journals. In addition, he has contributed to several top marketing and business journals as an editor and has written and lectured extensively about the future of management education. Professor Jain has served as foreign affairs advisor to the Prime Minister of Thailand, as a consultant to numerous companies, such as Microsoft and American Express, and has been a Board Director for several global companies, including Northern Trust, Deere and Company, United Airlines and Reliance Industries (India). Professor Jain has received numerous honors for teaching and research. His home country of India also recognized his exceptional contributions: in 2004, he received the PravasiBharatiya Divas, an annual award bestowed by the nation’s Prime Minister.
