My advice to you. • An injury will NEVER improve with rest alone. Symptoms may settle but will resume once activity recommences, putting other joints at risk • If a joint is swollen, and bruised, something has happened to it and it needs further assessment: physio or orthopaedic • Never advise heat for pain if acute, or acute on chronic.
