  1. Three Reasons to Upgrade Your Home’s Heating Before Winter Hits We’re reaching the end of the year, and while technically winter isn’t until December 21st, we all know that snow and cold weather can hit long before that. Depending on where you live, it may have already started! As we course through the colder end of fall, it may be time to look at upgrading your home’s heating system. This can be especially true if you live in an older home. If you find a real estate agent and ask them, you’ll hear things like dated plumbing and HVAC are not only prevalent in older homes but can also be a turn-off for potential future buyers. Besides being good for resale, here are three reasons to upgrade your home’s heating. Comfort Source: rockwool.com

  2. This, after all, is the true purpose of having a heating system at all, isn’t it? Outside, winter is dark and cold, and the air sets chills into your body. The indoors of your home are there to undo the hardships that winter brings, which can be challenging to do without proper heating. On the opposite end, some older heating units may be finicky or not give you adequate temperature control, such as shutting off at night if you sleep hot. Having a modern heating unit will give you complete control of your conditions, and in the cases of many modern Smart heaters, this control can come right from your phone. Reliability Nothing is worse than having the heat go out in the middle of winter, except perhaps a tie for when the air conditioning goes out during summer. The point is, having unreliable HVAC systems is a pain and always seem to break when temperature conditions are at their harshest, leaving you to suffer until a maintenance person can come to fix it. The other problem with fixing older unreliable heating units is, well, they’re unreliable. Even after repairs, older heating units can give out again shortly after they are fixed. Not only that, depending on the issue of your old heater, there may be a matter of safety. Older heaters are more susceptible to leaks and fire hazards. Technology is constantly improving, and nowadays, even the bottom-of-the-line units available are better than a unit from ten or twenty years ago (Or even older in some cases). These newer units are designed to last longer, be safer, and require far less maintenance, leaving you toasty even on the coldest of winter days.

  3. It’s Both Environmental and Economical Source: proiezionidiborsa.it This technically counts for two reasons, but they’re very interconnected. As a heating unit ages, its energy efficiency begins to decline. This means the older your unit, the more power consumption it uses. By upgrading to a newer, more modern heating system, you’ll see this power consumption drop. Not only is this better for the environment, reducing the emissions your house produces, but it’s also better for your budget. The less energy and emissions being produced in your house means lower bills to pay. The U.S. Department of Energy released a statement citing that owners could save approximately 25% on their household utilities using energy-efficient appliances.
