  2. A traditional dress for a countrywoman from Brindisi. The clothes of doll become again the protagonist of ancient habits linked to life and work of a peasant people who live in a sunny land, rich in nature . The children were involved in knowing more closely a cultural heritage full of costumes and folklore. They made a rag doll with the help of their teachers. Un vestito tradizionale per una contadina di Brindisi. I vestiti della bambola caratterizzano antiche consuetudini legate alla vita a al lavoro dei contadini che vivono in una terra soleggiata e ricca per natura. I bambini della scuola dell’infanzia sono stati coinvolti a conoscere da vicino l’eredità culturale ricca di costumi e folclore.   3. The land of Brindisi expresses through the peculiarity of gastronomy its real identity: Among the first dishes, the “orecchiette” is the most important of pasta made at home. The most typical delicacies of sweets for Christmas time are the “purcedduzzi” and “ncartiddate” envelopped in honey or drowned in cooked wine. For Easter time the list of the sweets go on with “Pupu cu l’ovu” a pastry with hard boiled egg and “Bocconotti” a home made taste from the almond tree, a very widespread in this area. The most rural taste is the “focaccia” with oil and tomato. La terra di Brindisi esprime attraverso la peculiarità della gastronomia la sua reale identità: Tra i primi le orecchiette rappresentano il piatto di pasta fatto in casa più importante. I tipici dolci natalizi: purceduzzi e ncartiddate con miele o cotti nel vino. Per il periodo pasquale i dolci con l’uovo Pupu cu l’ovu e i Bocconotti con le mandorle molto diffuse in questo territorio. La focaccia con olio e pomodoro.
