  3. Current status • Became a WG work item for the IETF #66 • Draft checked against the MIP6 AAA goals • -01 version out with a new draft name even if the file name remained the same..

  4. Issues raised & discussed • Draft is more about NAS-to-HAAA interface rather than just MIPv6 Integrated scenario bootstrapping • Change of title from ”Integrated scenario” to ”NAS-to-HAAA interface” • Is a new application needed? • WG consensus was not to go for a new Diameter application • Reuse existing NASREQ & EAP applications • All AVPs are optional • Do not specify new values for NAS-Port-Type & Service-Type.. • Capability advertisement • Use bootstrapping AVPs to advertise NAS bootstrapping capability to HAAA • Was there already in -00, now just slightly reshaped • Local HA allocation • Was there already in -00, now just slightly reshaped • ASP may suggest a HA to HAAA

  5. Revision history • Changes to the -01 version • The document title was changed to "The NAS - HAAA Interface for MIPv6 Bootstrapping“ • Added HAAA and NAS to terminology section“ • Changed NAS application to NASREQ application.“ • Changed "Integrated Scenario" to NAS-HAAA interface“ • The separate Diameter Application-ID for MIPv6 bootstrapping (MIP6BSTI) got removed and all bootstrapping is based on Diameter EAP application and Diameter NAS application • MIPv6-Bootstrapping-Feature AVP was removed and General text regarding to the capability advertisement based on optional AVPs was added • The capability exchange was modified so that the NAS may suggest a specific HA to the AAAH. Original MIPv6-Bootstrapping-Feature AVP was replaces with a possibility to include any bootstrapping AVP to the Diameter AAR or DER messages as a capability and local allocation hint.
