  3. 802.20 WG Vision • Individual Homework Assignment • Define our market objectives • Look out 5 to 7 years • Project market requirements over time • Establish requirements and time frame for our first 802.20 standard • Narrow scope of present project to first release of our standard consistent with overall visions • 802.20 WG Assignment • Be prepared to limit capability of 1st release IEEE802.20 Albuquerque Plenary Session

Establish project goals & schedule • Complete Requirements document focused on project goals and schedule • Develop and vote on Project Schedule • Establish goals for the January Mtg • No other presentations or other business until goals are met • cutoff date for completing Rqmnts doc • cutoff date for proposals • cutoff date for choosing proposal IEEE802.20 Albuquerque Plenary Session

Begin work on the 802.20 draft • Preapprove decisions made at Jan Interim meeting on progressing the project • Complete work on Evaluation Criteria • Invite technical proposals and supplement with slide presentations • Detailed text defines the substance of the proposal IEEE802.20 Albuquerque Plenary Session

Effective conflict resolution Most conflicts are a result of valid concerns that were not addressed • During Meetings • After limited discussion take the concerns offline and work together • When needed develop a joint resolution offline and bring to WG or to reflector as resolved or as a clearly defined disagreement • On the reflector • After a round of email responses get on the phone or send a private email to interest group and work together to develop a joint resolution. Post that joint resolution to get additional input. IEEE802.20 Albuquerque Plenary Session
