Types of Government. Fall 2011 6 th Grade Social Studies. How many types of government are there?. There are many, today we are talking about 5 The ones we will talk about today are: Absolute Monarchy Representative Democracy (Republic) Communism Fascism (Dictatorship) Anarchy.

  2. How many types of government are there? • There are many, today we are talking about 5 • The ones we will talk about today are: • Absolute Monarchy • Representative Democracy (Republic) • Communism • Fascism (Dictatorship) • Anarchy

  3. What will we learn about each type of government? • We will be talking about the following: • Description of each type of government • Limited/Unlimited Government • Rule by one, few, or many • Strengths • Weaknesses • Examples

Directions!!! • READ the presentation!!!! • Under each type of government it tells you what box to write the information in. • For example- the next slide is titled “ Absolute Monarchy-Description” • You will look for “absolute Monarchy” on your chart, and go to the “description” box, the information on the slide will go in that box.
