How does skip logic apply? • Determination of eligibility for Simplified Needs Test (SNT) or Auto Zero EFC formulas • 14 states do not allow skipping of income/asset questions (CO, DC, GA, IL, MN, NJ, NM, OH, OK, SC, VT, WA, WI & WY) • Based on student’s state of legal residence (SLR) response

Where determination for SNT/Auto Zero happens • Determination of eligibility for SNT or Auto Zero occurs in various locations • Ex., if Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is less than or equal to $26,000 and indicates filed an IRS Form 1040A/EZ, determination happens there • Otherwise continue to see if user indicates other eligibility criteria
