  1. Larox Pinch Valves The Solution You´ve Been Looking For

  2. Larox Valves • Ideal for shut off applications involving • Abrasive • Corrosive slurries • Powders and • Coarse substances • Our solutions offer substantial savings • Improved performance • Longer service lifetime • Lower maintenance costs

  3. Modular Design • Three main components • The sleeve • The body with mechanical closing bars • The actuator • The sleeve is the only part in contact with the process medium • Can be tailored to suit most process conditions

  4. Operating Principle In the open position, the valve is at full bore with no flow restrictions During closing, two pinch bars squeeze the sleeve shut on the centerline

  5. Technical Features • Full bore • Only the sleeve is in contact with the medium • Centerline closing • Flexible sleeve

  6. Process Benefits • 100 % tight • Excellent wear resistance • High corrosion resistance • No jamming or clogging • Self-cleaning • Trouble-free operation • Long service intervals • Low maintenance costs • Reduced cost of ownership

  7. Larox Manual Valves • The standard range • Diameters of 25 mm to 1 000 mm • Temperatures from -50°C to +160 °C • Operating pressures from vacuum to 100 bar • Equipped with hand wheel • Totally enclosed for full protection • A reduction gear when needed

  8. Technical Specifications • Open body (PV) • For non-hazardous media, lower pressures and lower operating temperatures • Light-weight and easy to service • Size range starts from 80 mm • Body materials • Fabricated carbon steel • Stainless steel

  9. Technical Specifications Enclosed body (PVE) • Enclosed design protects the sleeve from the environment • Safe to operate • Diameters begin with 25 mm • Body materials • Cast iron/fabricated carbon steel • Stainless steel • Aluminium • Polyurethane (up to DN150, 6 bar) • Polyamide (DN250, 10 bar)

  10. Sealed body (PVS) Designed to add safety to processes involving hazardous media or high operating pressures Completely enclosed stem and sidebars 100 % protection against any leakage Size range starting from 25 mm Body materials Cast iron/fabricated carbon steel Stainless steel Enclosed/sealed body (PVE/S) Designed to add safety Stem and side bars are sealed with O rings Prevents leakage from the valve body Size range starts from 25 mm Body materials Cast iron/fabricated carbon steel Stainless steel Aluminium Special Products

  12. Main Dimensions/Open Body

  13. Main Dimensions/Enclosed Body

  14. Actuated On-Off Valves Ideal when remote control is required The actuator type depends on The process pressure Valve size The availability of power sources and Other process requirements

  15. Standard Actuators Pneumatic Actuators (A) Double acting allowing fast opening and closing Suitable for a wide range of industrial application Improved corrosion resistance Simple installation Fail-safe options Manual override (AB) Mechanical spring (AV) Pneumatic spring (AU)

  16. Standard Actuators Hydraulic Actuators (H) Ideal for high pressure applications and large valve diameters A pilot operated check valve for fail-safe function

  17. Standard Actuators Electric Actuators (E) Incorporates built-in limit and torque switches and a manual override hand wheel Best suited for applications requiring high closing forces

  18. Special Actuators • Pneumatic Motor Driven Actuator • Ideal for high force applications with limited space • Hydraulic Actuators with an Integrated Power Unit • Electrically driven stand-alone hydraulic unit • Other Special Actuators • Tailor-made solutions for customers’ projects • OEM deliveries • Engineering projects

  19. Larox Control Valves For demanding control applications Controllability can be further improved with conical sleeves or smart positioners Elastic sleeves have been applied for improved wear resistance. Standard positioners Electro-pneumatic (AK) and pneumatic (AN) for pneumatic actuators Electro-hydraulic (HP) for hydraulic actuators Electronic (EO) for electric actuator

  20. Larox Control Valves The sizing of control valves Larox valve sizing program and service is based on IEC60534 standard Available in metric and imperial units

  21. Main Dimensions/Open Body

  22. Main Dimensions/Enclosed Body

  23. Valve Model Selection Example: PVE100AK10 - 203LR

  24. Automatic Valve Auxiliaries R Z S Q • Inductive limits (R) e.g. 12...24 V DC, 3-wire, PNP/NPN or V AC/DC, 2-wire • Magnetic limits (S) e.g. V AC/DC, 2-wire or 10...30 V DC, 3-wire, PNP/NPN • Mechanical limits (T)e.g. 2 pole N/C + N/O snap action • Solenoid valve (Z) e.g. 5/3-way, 24 V DC or 220 V AC • Quick exhaust valve (Q)

  25. Larox Sleeves The SolutionYou´veBeenLooking For

  26. Larox Sleeves • Technical Features • Size range: 25 mm - 1000 mm • Temperatures: -50°C - +160 °C • Operating pressure from vacuum to 100 bar • Product Features • Full bore • 100 % tight • Only the sleeve is in contact with the medium • Flexible • Self-cleaning • Process Benefits • Excellent wear resistance • High corrosion resistance • No turbulence • No flow restriction

  27. Larox Sleeve Design The standard sleeve design includes three sets of layers The inner layer is resistant to wear and chemical substances The reinforcement layers give the sleeve its pressure retaining capability The outer layer protects the sleeve Inner layer Reinforcement layers Outer layer

  28. Larox Sleeves All standard sleeves are equipped with opening tags to ensure complete valve opening under all conditions

  29. Sleeve Model Selection Example: SBRT 10100/250/3L2

  30. Standard Sleeves

  31. Other Sleeve Material Options

  32. Special Sleeve Designs • Conical sleeve • Ensures accurate flow control • Smaller than the pipeline size • Sizes: 25 mm – 400 mm • Vacuum sleeve • Ideal for negative pressure applications • Ideal for sleeve pulsation applications • Sizes: 80 mm – 700 mm

  33. Special Sleeve Designs Larox sleeve with polyurethane lining . • SensoMate Sleeve • Detects and signals critical wear • Available in all standard materials and sizes • PU Lined Sleeve • Improved protection against wear and corrosion • Maximum operating temperature 80°C • Sizes: 25 mm – 300 mm • Other special sleeves • High pressure • For food industry • With one flange
