On October 11, 2013, Pitt County Schools’ CTE Automotive students attended Pitt Community College’s Automotive Systems Technology Department’s Cruise-In/Open House. The event featured a tour of the Manufacturing Department and showcased classic cars, including the iconic Buick stock car driven by Richard Petty during the 1981 Daytona 500. Attendees enjoyed viewing vintage and muscle cars, pro-street race cars, and hot rods, along with Snap-on tool displays, highlighting the skills and technology in automotive education at PCC.

On October 11, 2013, 160 Pitt County Schools’ CTE Automotive students previewed Pitt Community College’s Automotive Systems Technology Department’s Cruise-In/Open House and toured the Manufacturing Department. On display is the Buick stock car Richard Petty drove to victory lane in NASCAR’s 1981 Daytona 500.
The cruise-in featured vintage, classic muscle cars, pro-street race cars, hot rods, and Snap-on tool displays.The CIT Building houses PCC’s Automotive Systems and Building Construction programs.
