We note with sadness the passing of our well loved club member John Hannah who died in a tragic accident recently. We wish to extend our condolences to John’s family and friends.

  1. We note with sadness the passing of our well loved club member John Hannah who died in a tragic accident recently.We wish to extend our condolences to John’s family and friends. John was a member of our club for more than 20 years.His passing is such a sad loss to all who knew him, through work,play and his beloved cricket.

  2. This is a presentation John had been working onprior to his passing.

  3. IFCR is one of many Rotary Fellowships Members are cricket loving Rotarians who enjoy travelling IFCR has members from 10 countries IFCR enables us to visit places quite cheaply It can be an opportunity to see RI in action

  4. You do not have to be a gun cricketerto join IFCR • Our average age is 55 – 70 • Everyone gets a go • We all drop catches • It is an opportunity for partners to be involved • We have fun

  5. Since 1997 NZ IFCR has made 14 overseas tours Destinations include • Australia (9) • England (2) • India • Sri Lanka • South Africa Each year in NZ we have a North/South weekend We meet other Rotarians through both cricket and being home hosted

  6. Touring involves some cricketand plenty of R & RCricket is typically 35 over games We play in all sorts of locations including • Chinaswarmy Stadium in Bangalore • below Table Mountain in Cape Town • Lilac Hill near Perth • we have practised at the indoor nets at the Adelaide Oval

  7. R & R can involve all sorts of activities - wine tasting- visiting National Parks- visiting the Sydney Cricket Ground - visiting Nelson Mandela’s cell in Pretoria- walking on the turf the rugby ground at Pretoria- visiting a school for young girls at Chennai- visiting the Emperor’s Palace at Mysore

  8. What is coming up in the near future • February 2012 - The seventh IFCR Festival in Vapi, India • March 2012 - Visit to NZ by Australian Rotarians - Annual North/South Weekend • October 2012 - visit to Broken Hill and rural Victoria • 2013 - possible visit to South America
