  1. The Future of Maritime Logistics: Nicolas Ang's Visionary Role with F- Drones Logistics is a process of managing supply and transportation for the timely delivery of goods in good condition. Efficiency is essential tologistics as the damage to goods or misplacements can lead to cost barring. Any business can scale its sales and increase customers by properly managing its logistics. The advancement in technology in recent years has led to the development of software which helps in the efficient and proper management of logistics. There are different ways like roads, air, and marine for transportation of goods, based on the type of product and transportation one can choose the mode of transport. Maritime logistics is the process of transporting goods from one place to another via sea route. It has been observed that through maritime logistics we can achieve a high efficiency rate in both the operation and service management of logistics. In this article, we discuss one such company founded by Nicolas Ang called F-drones, which has a vision of providing efficient and sustainable maritime logistics. Nicolas Ang: Co-founder of F-drones Nicolas is a co-founder of F-drones in Singapore, who has 10 years of experience in bringing foreign exchange investments from aerospace, marine, and other resource companies. He completed his Bachelor's (Hons), Mechanical Engineering (Aeronautical Engineering), and Business from the National University of Singapore. Nicolas worked as an intern Research Engineer at the Data Storage Institute and Swedish Institute of Space Physics. Later he started his career at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) as a Senior Officer for New Technologies and played many different roles in the organization, he was also an Assistant Vice President. He founded Entrepreneur First, the world’s leading talent investor, and helps ambitious individuals find co-founders to develop their ideas and start a company. Nicolas is a veteran of the Singapore government as part of Singapore’s Office for Space Technology and Industry who works with foreign investors Nicolas met his co-founder Yeshwant at Entrepreneur First in a talent investor program, where both of them were excited about the drone sector and also helping businesses move supplies across remote locations. In the year 2020, F-drone was the first Singaporean company to get authorization from the aviation authorities to conduct Beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone deliveries. Brief about F-drones F-drones is a logistics company that produces large-scale autonomous delivery drones for maritime logistics. It was co-founded by Nicolas Ang in the year 2019 and has its headquarters located in Singapore. The vision of the company is to make the world’s maritime logistics more efficient and sustainable as It also helps reduce 80% of the cost, time, and emission. The company is building the best autonomous aerial cargo delivery platform for industrial logistics according to the requirements of the industries in terms of weight, range, volume, and operations. The solutions are created after working with the market and understanding their needs. The company has launched Hypercopter and Hyperlaunch drones where Hypercopter can carry 10 kg over 30 km and is available in 3 variants. The Hyperlaunch drone carries 5 kg over 50 km and the company is on the way to launch eclectic drones that would be delivering 100 kg loads over 100 km to make it an integral part of logistical solutions for various industries. Since the start of the company, F-drones have been in the way of developing new drones for different purposes. In April 2020 it developed Singapore’s first BVLOS delivery and in Nov 2020 world’s first offshore night delivery. Late in Dec 2021, it did the world’s first commercial drone delivery to a petrochemical plant, and in Dec 2022, it developed Thailand’s first BVLOS delivery. By the end of 2023, the company has set its operations across 5 different countries. It is ready for the commercialization of hyper plant drone in 2024. In the process of making maritime logistics sustainable and efficient, Nicolas Ang with F-drones has made remarkable inventions that will help in the advancement logistics sector.
