  1. Understanding the need for the right colour blindness treatment For people with colour vision issues, identifying colours can be a difficult task. The same can impact their ability to identify colours and handle routine life. Things can take a turn for the worse when the same is in extremity. This is why colour blindness treatment at early stages is important. Types of colour blindness Colour blindness is a genetically inherited trait that exists due to abnormalities in photo pigmentations. These defects can result in various types of colour blindness. Hence, the ideal treatment for colour blindness depends on the extent and type of colour blindness issues prevalent in the person. The most common form of this issue is red-green colour blindness that cannot require extensive or special treatment of colour blindness. In many cases, special glasses designed for the purpose can deliver effective management of the situation. The blue-yellow colour blindness is another common form but the inability to see any colour i.e. total blindness is completely rare and there is no concrete colour blindness treatment in India for this problem. Can a person become colour blind? Although colour blindness is an inherited problem i.e. genetically transferred especially if the issues are present in the X chromosome. It is also possible to become colour blind due to physical or chemical-induced trauma. It is also possible to become colour blind in the later stages of life due to any of the below mentioned issues -  Illness Certain chronic illness can result into colour deficiency especially if stimulated by issues like -  Alzheimer's disease  Glaucoma  Parkinson disease  Liver issues  Chronic alcoholism  Multiple sclerosis  Leukaemia, etc.  Severe accidents A severe accident or stroke can result in trauma to the eye and impact the colour sensitivity.

  2. Medications Certain medications, especially those associated with controlling blood pressure or nervous system issues, can cause gradual colour blindness.  Chemical contact Accidents in industrial environments or constant exposure to certain chemicals can cause colour blindness and vision issues. Carbon monoxide or chemicals can be the lead contributors to the problem. Medications too can cause similar issues which is why you must discuss the side- effects of your medications carefully. Signs of colour blindness Colour blindness is one of the most common and genetically inherited issues that can show up early in the child’s life. Kids born with the issue face problems in identifying colours effectively. So if your kid faces challenges in identifying colours correctly, faces issues regarding distinguishing between shades of Red, Green and Blue colours, shows a lack of interest in painting and colouring tasks, is sensitive to light or feels frustrated on reading colour based books then you must get them checked for the issue. Diagnosis of the same in the adults with an acquired loss of colour vision can be equally tough. The same issue can be common in case of those suffering from problems like glaucoma, diabetes, macular issues, Parkinsons, etc. Attaining effective treatment An option to treat colour blindness exists at Sanjeevan. The clinic already has treated thousands of patients with the problem. The treatment plans bring changes at cellular levels to gradually rejuvenate and boost the retinal health through electro-acupuncture. 
