  1. Understanding the factors associated with the right colour blindness treatment Colour blindness means that the person suffers from the inability to see colours. The root cause of the problem is attributed to the lack of colour sensing pigments. The degree of problem is attributed to the extent of the lack of such pigments. The complete lack of colour sensitivity is termed achromatopsia, which is extremely rare. Again opting for average colour blindness treatment doesn't imply that the person will be able to achieve the desired results in full but can partly assess the shades. Hence, a colour blind person perceives colours differently than an average person. For example - A normal person may see red, green and teal on a shade chart while a colour blind one will be able to spot yellow, gray, beige, etc. Types of colour blindness There are three types of colour blindness and as a result, the treatment of colour blindness varies according to the underlying issues. ●A person is unable to distinguish between reds and greens ●A person has difficulty in distinguishing between blue and yellow ●Complete colour blindness Moreover, males are more susceptible to the problem instead of females. On the other hand, females can be the carriers of the problem. Colour blindness is both inherited and acquired. Thus, the treatment for colour blindness focuses on identifying the underlying cause before adopting an intervention. Why is it important to undertake the treatment quickly? A survey on the colour blind individuals revealed the following information - ●Four of every ten students suffering from this problem try to avoid schoolwork and colour associated activities. Thus, these children display a lesser inclination towards painting, drawing, field trips, etc. ●Only 20 per cent of the schools worldwide adapt schoolwork to suit the needs of such students. This is why it is important to identify the problem in the early stages itself and undertake colour blindness treatment in India to ensure that your child is able

  2. to attain holistic growth and development. It also helps to ensure that your child is able to blend in with peers and overcome teasing. Identifying the symptoms of the issue Some of the common symptoms associated with the issue include - -Changes in vision -Changes in colour perception -Inability to differentiate between shades -Colours appear less bright. Causes of colour blindness The cones are a type of nerve cell that enable the retina to distinguish between colours. This is a light sensitive layer of tissue and is also important to assess the different shades of the same colour. If there is a problem with these, colour blindness may occur. This is attributed to the fact that the cones absorb different wavelengths of light and then react to the colours. This information is then decoded by the brain to distinguish the same. Colour blindness may occur due to any of the following causes - ●Hereditary - Inherited colour blindness is passed from the parents of opposite genders. ●Physical or chemical damage to the eye - A damage to the optic nerve or any damage to the brain can impact colour perception. ●Cataracts can impact colour perception due to the clouding of the lens. ●Due to age, vision loss or colour deficiency can augment. ●Problems like diabetes, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's, etc. ●Exposure to medications and chemicals can contribute to colour blindness. Treating acquired colour blindness is easy than inherited one.
