Life • Thomas Garrigue Masaryk was born on 7th March 1850 in Hodonin and died on 14th September 1937 in Lany. • Masaryk was educator, politician and philosopher. • In year 1918 he became president. • Masaryk had five children: • Alice Masarykova Herbert Masaryk John Masaryk Eleanor Masarykova Olga Masarykova

  3. His parents were Josef Masaryk and Terezie Masaryk. • In year1878 he married Charlotta in New York. • During the war he tried to convince other foreign politicians about the necessity of a new Czechoslovak state. • He founded Foreign Legion.

Profession and education • Masaryk studied Wienna faculty in 1872. • Masaryk got doctorate in the year 1876. • His professions were blacksmith, locksmith, teacher, scientist. • In 1882 he was a teacher at Czech university in Prague. • In 1897 he was a teacher at Charles university. • In 1875 he became a chairman of the Czech academy in Wienna.
