  4. ...and because Latin is • not a dead language • part of culture in general • sayings • root of many other languages: • English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, etc. • the basis for terminology in various fields • medicine, law, biology, agriculture, etc.

  5. What is the goal? To improve student learning

  6. For Whom? • High school students • All grammar schools in Croatia • Grade levels: 1 and 2 (9 & 10)

  7. Research - Fifth Grammar School in Zagreb - Collaboration with the subject teacher - 2 sections - Experimental and control group - 62 students - Blinded experiment

  10. Hypothesis The multimedia application helps students learn the material and evokes more enthusiasm among students who learn Latin.
