General information about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria on the 26th January 1756. • He was the last of seven children, of whom five of them didn’t survive early childhood. • His mother was Ann Mozart, his father was Leopard Mozart who was a composer and his sister Nannarel. • Amadeus married Constantia Weber and they lived in Vienna.

Interesting facts about him…… • Though he didn’t begin to walk until he was three years old, Mozart’s talent for music soon became to appear. • At the age of four, he could reproduce on the piano a melody. Then at five, he could play the violin with perfect intension and at six he composed his first minuet. • At the age of eight he wrote his first symphony. • He was enthusiastic to play the piano.

4. Why do you admire him? • I admire Mozart because I like his pieces. Since I know how to play the piano, I play few of his pieces but some of them are too difficult to play. • I admire Mozart not only because he was a genius or because he is famous, but also because he was determined in his work. • I wish I could be like him!

5. What can young people learn from him? • To be self-confident and not to be shy away from using their talents. • To be courageous. • To be determined in their work.
