  2. COMMERCE consist of activities that involve the transfer of goods from producer to the consumer. T R A D E Buying and selling of goods to make profit. • HOME TRADE Is carried out among the people of the country itself. • FOREIGN TRADE involve trade between the people from one country and those from the rest of the world.

  3. BANKING Banks facilitate trade and production. Example: loans.

  4. TRANSPORT With transportation, it is much easier for the materials and finished goods to be moved from various sources through many stages until they reach the consumer.

  5. COMMUNICATION It is very important for all the traders and all commercial functionaries to transmit and receive commercial information. Examples: telephone, internet, fax machine, etc.

  6. INSURANCE • Insurance companies provide protections and absorb some of the risks in trading. • Businesses may be able to claim indemnity in the event of a loss.

  7. WAREHOUSE • Warehouses provide storage facilities for goods after processing or manufacturing, or purchase so that they can be sold later.

  8. ADVERTISEMENT • The purpose of advertising the goods is to inform and remind consumer the availability of the particular brands of the goods and services and try to persuade them to buy.
