Howard Schultz • Schultz is the founder and CEO of Starbucks • His success is related to his management and leadership style • He treats his employees as though they are as important as their customers • He offered great healthcare options, partial payment for school, and ample opportunities for growth • He lets his passion for his mission and vision show at all times and it inspires the majority of employees

  4. Qualities • Authentic leaders are more interested in empowering others than money and personal power • Dedication to honest long term relationships • Dedication to personal growth and conquering fears • Authentic leaders draw their personal inspiration from their own lives

  5. Results Driven • Authentic leaders do the job for results, they are dedicated to the mission of the company and more focused on success of the company than personal success • Long term goals are important to these leaders, they are willing to put in the time and effort to achieve long term goals • They know their strengths, weaknesses, and emotions and do not try to hide them
