Middlesex University –Student Exchange Journey for students (STUDY PLACEMENTS) • Before the exchange • Students attend the Pre-Departure Meeting (November / April) to receive valuable information about the exchange process and important preparatory steps to take: • Setting up a Learning Agreement with the Programme Leader (PL) and sending it to the Erasmus Exchange Office (EEO) • Applying to the Host University; Presentation title

If applicable, completing the Erasmus+ grant agreement and payment procedures; • If applicable, OLS – Online Language Support and the Erasmus Final Survey; • If applicable, 1) purchasing extra insurance as recommended by the Host University/getting the EHIC, and 2) applying for Visa • Booking flight tickets and accommodation Presentation title

  4. On arrival at the Partner University • Students • consult with the Programme Leader in case of changes to the Learning Agreement • send the Learning Agreement to the Erasmus Exchange Office • stay in touch • Re-enrolling as MDX student in September Presentation title

  5. On exchange – half-time I • The Student Exchange Office double-checks with the students whether term 1 modules have been passed • If short of credits, the Programme Leader and Student progression and achievement team to be informed • Students may be able to make up for lost credits through re-sits or studying more credits during the 2nd term • Keep in touch with PL and EEO Presentation title

  6. On exchange – half-time II • Students • complete the Learning Agreement/changes to learning agreement for term 2 in consultation with the Programme Leader, if not done already • send the completed document to the Student Exchange Office • stay in touch with PL and EEO Presentation title

  7. On return to MDX • Send the Certificate of Attendance; • Request for testimonials; • Students bring back their transcripts/transcripts are requested by the Student Exchange Office • If short of credits, the Programme Leader and Student Achievement Officer will be informed • Students may be able to make up for lost credits through re-sits, the Summer School & repeating the year; • If applicable, complete the Erasmus final Survey • If applicable, payment of the final grant instalment.
