BACKGROUND • WHERE HAVE WE BEEN? • Strategic Plan 2012: “Mo Wants to Know” Campaign • This campaign was launched October 1, 2008 • It included the Superintendent’s “Listening and Learning Tour” • Strategic Plan 2012 Highlights • The first strategic plan ever developed for the district • Focused on both academic excellence and character education • Included carefully laid out strategies designed to: • -increase student achievement • -increase teacher retentionrate • -improve school safety and discipline

(What should we keep?) • What isn’t going well, or what could use more focus? (What should we drop? Do less of? Do more of? Do better with?) • What’s getting in the way of our progress? How could we be more efficient and effective with the resources we have?
