  2. ABOUT The documentary is about dancers in the vogue ballroom scene in the north of England. It discusses the need for vogue in the UK and drag ballroom culture and how it originated in New York city. Vogue is a stylised modern house dance which originated in the 1980s that evolved from the Harlem ballroom scene in the 1960s. The documentary has a blog which has more information about the topic and has links to other information on LGBTQ+. The post has quotes from the documentary and also, extra quotes from people involved with voguing. It, also, contains pictures from the documentary. On the website, there is ‘Information and Support’ which links to information about LGBTQ+ and advice organisations. Description of the documentary and how long it is.

Bright, bold shoes contrast with bricks which emphasises the urban setting. The angle and lighting shows the shadows on exposed brick with creates sense of realism. Diegetic sound and music over people talking about what is going on. Enhances close relationships of some dancers. Voiceover with multiple voices and dolly shots walking down corridor. Flashing neon lights graphic code for titles. Interview inside someone’s kitchen shows realism. Panning shots upwards from hands and body. Another interview with CU of tattoos and rings.
