  3. Foldable 1 • The process that continues life on earth is reproduction. • Have offspring (babies) • System is different for males and females • Hormones begin producing gametes (reproductive cells) during puberty. Inside- Right Side

  4. Foldable 1 • For a baby to begin to grow, a male gamete (sperm) and a female gamete (egg) must join to form a fertilized egg. • Only one sperm will join with the egg. Inside- Left Side

  6. Foldable 2 • Egg- female reproductive cell (gamete) • Produced in ovaries • Contain female DNA for offspring Inside- Right Side • Female Reproductive Organs • Ovary- holds eggs • Uterus- place where a fertilized egg develops into a baby
