  1. Animals in the War By: Mariam 9M

  2. Introduction… Animals have been used in war when humans learned how to train them. Since the ancient times humans came up with many new tasks for different types of animals. Some where simple, such as using an oxen to pull supplies. Others had to do with the animal’s unique abilities.

  3. The animals used in the War • Dogs • Pigs • Horses • Oxen • Camels • Elephants • Pigeons • Rats

  4. Pigs in the War Pigs were used in the war to scare elephants. The idea was that the pigs would be set on fire. The elephants would be scared when they see squealing pigs on fire which would cause them to run away and crushing their own troops. This plan did not also go very well for the army that did this because pigs on fire cant be controlled. They harm the army that did it.

  5. Other animals.. *Elephants were used to carry very heavy objects. *Camels were used to travel in sandy places. They were better than horses in sandy places and they needed less water. *Oxen was used to transport heavy or siege artillery. *Horses were used for transportation and to carry objects.

  6. Dogs They were used to fight. War dogs would be sent into battle with large protective spiked metal collars and coats of mail armor.
