  1. By accident,  I've learnt the following about the skew quad.: Animesh Jain (Magnet Division) told me:  The convention for the skew quad. (in RHIC) is that a +ve current results in North pole at the top (and bottom). We check (from the actual ramp) that the current during our 2009 run was -ve (and -ve strength) therefore we have South pole at the top (bottom).  This is what MAD(X) calls a negative skew quad. Though Steve wasn’t aware that what we've been using has been a negative skew quad., it happens to be the right sign that he's used in the last transport of June 10, 2011.  ( To Phil : it's a bit strange but it's what it's  a -ve skew quad. ) So, I think we don't need to deal with another transport.
