  4. After effect can be a complicated software and while customizable after effect templates and internet tutorials can help anyone to get thaball rolling, there are still few ins and outs that can elude even advanced animators and FX artist. • In this PPT, To help you to avoid after effects mistakes here are 6 most common after effects mistakes out there and how to avoid them.

  5. 6 After Effects Mistakes to Avoid

  6. Motion Blur • Motion blur allows you to make animations appear natural. • Plus, motion blur is a great way to improve your animated graphics.

  7. Forgetting to Feather Your Mask • When compositing, feathering your mask is essential. • You need your images to blend combine and appear as one. • Forgetting to feather your mask will not allow a convincing composite.

  8. Using Solid Layer For Shapes • When you create shapes for motion graphics and you use a solid layer with a mask, you are entirely missing out on shape layers. • Shape layers allow you to organize shapes easily and they open up many techniques of animating shapes.

  9. Color Correction • Color correction has its own rules and creative techniques. It is vital that you should understand video scopes if you need to color. • Without video scopes, you are practically judging the images based off of your display. • What looks good on your screen may not look good on someone else's screen.

  10. Stroke Effect • The stroke effect is excellent at creating outlines if you have the mask. • If you have the vector object or text layer, you can convert them into shape layers and apply "trim paths". Trim paths allow you to clean animate strokes.

  11. Transform Menu to Animate Text • While this isn't a bad idea to do when it makes sense, if you are not using the animate menu with text layers, you are missing out on control. • Animated menu enables you to use advanced parameters to animate the characters, titles and much more.
