  1. Repair of a Thoracic Aorta Aneurysm MICHAEL C. COHN, MD DAVID FELDBAUM, M.D This patient is a 61 year old male that presented with severe chest pain at day one. On arrival had a chest x-ray which showed a large thoracic aneurysm. CTA showed a saccular aneurysm at the level of the subclavian, and an 8 cm lobulated thoracic aneurysm in the descending aorta. Pertinent past medical history includes malaria. A Talent Thoracic Stent Graft was placed distal to the left common carotid excluding the saccular component, and then extended into the descending aorta allowing for a successful endovascular repair of this complex aneurysm. Since this was an endovascular repair (versus an open repair) the patient had minimal blood loss, and was discharged from the hospital in 48 hours.
