  3. Mr Gove - has made a good number of changes and we are not finished yet; • Proposed changes to the methods of examination • Commissioning and publication of the Wolf report • Early entry – staying or going? • English Baccalaureate

English Baccalaureate • Results of the consultation: Only 79 responses from 159 pupils • Of the responses 21 expressed an interest whilst 58 were not interested • Russell Group document • The languages and humanities elements are available through the options pools, leaving one free choice option.

  5. English Baccalaureate Awarded for successful completion of a combination of GCSE’s in the following subjects; English, Maths, Science (2 x GCSE not BTEC) Geography or History Foreign Language It will be recognised by the award of an additional certificate alongside the GCSE certificates in the summer of Year 11.
