Building Accessibility in Kainuu: A Universal Approach to Inclusive Tourism

The Kainuu project aims to enhance accessibility for all in the tourism sector through initiatives like the ELMA Project and Calypso Projects. Spanning from 2007 to 2013, these efforts have established a foundation for recognizing and addressing the needs of disabled groups, promoting universal design principles, and facilitating regional partnerships. By implementing practical solutions such as alternative payment methods and improving site accessibility, we strive to create an inclusive environment ensuring that everyone can experience the beauty of Kainuu.
