  1. SMYS “Futbol de Calle” 2009 Summer “Street Soccer”: Pick-up Games for Everyone!

  2. Futbol de Calle? • Futbol de Calle means “Street Soccer”, although we’ll be playing on CRRP fields. • What: Pick-up games, where everyone plays, no coaches, no referees & no instruction. • Why: Because the game of soccer is the best learning tool. In a pick-up game, there is no pressure from coaches/parents. • Where: Chancellor’s Run Regional Park • When: Mondays, starting June 29th throughout the summer, starting at 6:00pm! • Who: Players 6 & up • How: Show up w/ shin guards, socks, cleats & ball

  3. SMYS Futbol de Calle • These nights are intended to “replace” the pick-up games we all grew up with. • Everyone, regardless of skill level, can play. • Small-sided games will allow players to get plenty of time with the ball. • Perfect opportunity for players to try new things without fear of making a mistake.

  4. Futbol de Calle Rules • Everyone plays, all the time. • Friendly soccer - respect all players. • Show good sportsmanship. • Spectators should refrain from giving instruction/cheering. Let this be a true pick up game atmosphere. • Ball put back in play with kick from touchline, or corner kick.
