  5. Public Sector Bill 2008 Key PSA concerns • Appeals process not independent (internal within Agency or to SA IRC) • Power to CEs, away from Commissioner • CEs have power to terminate • Redeployment concerns, incl reduction pay by CEs 5

Public Sector Bill 2008 • Process • PSA Council to consider 21 January • PSA initial submission by 25 January • Negotiations with Government Jan/Feb • Lobby Opposition and other Upper House Parties if and as necessary • Membership/Reps meetings • Decision re dispute, dependent upon negotiation outcomes 8

  10. Public Sector Bill 2008 Motion This meeting of PSA Worksite Representatives recommends to Council that negotiations with Government be on the basis of maintaining Job Security, No loss of current entitlements, Independent Appeals processes and with a Public Sector wide approach to issues. 10
