  2. Represent! As a whole, collectively my work represents many different things, dependent on the briefs of course. However, particularly within the first two, I’ve tried to use my photography and film/sound to represent real people, and characters. For example within my Fly on The Wall brief, I liked the idea of being able to understand the subject, and represent them as a person through the work. Much like with the Filmic Spaces brief, I wanted to represent the mental state of a person, which in ways delves deeper into the human psych and our understanding of it. The third brief is there to represent life and death, however with a fashion photography twist, as I’m interested in that area of photography and liked the idea of mixing a deeper meaning into my work.

  3. Express! The different ways in which my work expresses my intentions, are through means of understanding people on another level, (this is in the case of the first two briefs anyway). They express the people and personalities, by exploring them on a deeper level. They don’t only look at the aesthetics of what is right in front of me, but they in a sense disassemble the key subject and try to convey them through their different components, this is particularly shown through brief one, Fly on The Wall. Brief three was different, in the sense that I wanted to more so express the differences between life and death, however conjoining that to the technique of fashion photography. It expresses this by showing a young beautiful girl, within a decaying scenery, however one thing that I particularly love is the way in which you can say there are so many differences between this girl full of life and this decaying, dying setting, whilst simultaneously realising that both are similar in the sense that they have an element of beauty to them both.

  4. Technique! Since joining the pathway I’ve learnt various new skills and techniques, such as: -Lighting and Lighting set up -How to use Audacity -How to use Premier Pro

  5. Ideas! Since beginning the course, my understanding of ideas, and developing them has changed. I now try to consider more in depth the meaning or potential projection of certain ideas and how they may be interpreted. I also try to think from the viewers point of view more, as to understand potentially how something may come across, or if my idea is going to be interpreted the way I intend it to.

  6. Future! My future aspirations are a little hazy. I would like to pursue a degree within the creative media and communication field, however dependent on which universities get back to me will define which degree that will be. I do know that I would in the future like to work within the Music and Fashion industries, potentially working for a magazine such as Dazed & Confused or CLASH magazine, perhaps as a creative director, editor or designer.
