  1. WHAT SIZE SIDEBOARD IS APPROPRIATE? Make sure the sideboard you choose for your dining room allows you an adequate area to move between the two while making your selection. Whatever sideboard you decide on, make sure there is space for the dining chairs to pass by, even when they are pulled back from the table. Make sure the marble top sideboards you buy will fit proportionately with your dining table as another thing to think about. A very large sideboard won't work with a small, two-person round dining table, and if you have a large dining table that can seat eight or more people, you'll need a sideboard that is properly majestic to go with it. Sideboards with marble tops are convenient for serving food because they are frequently just a little bit taller than your dining table. However, if it suits your decor choices, a sideboard might be somewhat shorter or even the same height as your dining table. Selecting a sideboard that is too low will make it difficult to utilize as a serving area and will make it appear out of place next to your dining table. What design should a sideboard have? The style of your sideboard should match, or at least coincide with, the style of your dining table and chairs, just as it is important to choose the right size for a sideboard. A sideboard from the same collection as your other dining room furniture can frequently be chosen to complete the look. But you may also use your marble sideboard to give the room more visual appeal. For instance, you might add a painted sideboard for a splash of color if you chose a minimalist dining table with a plain wooden design and natural finish. Alternately, get a sideboard with mirrored doors to reflect light and add a touch of glitz to your room.
