  • The purpose of this project is to help students to understand how much African Americans have prospered since slavery. As a result of determination and perseverance, African American successes were experienced, acquired, and recorded on the pages of countless history books. Photage of Notable Black Americans is also designed to instill a strong sense of self-worth, self-pride, and/or self-determination for all students.
