  1. Organic Grade B Maple Syrup Organic Grade B Maple Syrup Anderson's Maple Syrup, Inc. has been a family run and organized business for over 80 years. Steve Anderson is the third generation Anderson to carry on the family tradition. Steve's grandfather Paul Anderson started the business in the early 20's as just a little hobby to put some syrup on the table. When Norman Anderson, Steve's Father was old enough to help out he and Paul started to make the business grow. In the mid 30's they began by selling their entire year's supply of syrup to Hove's, which would later become Lunds and is now part of the Lunds-Byerly's chains. They eventually added other routes that took them through parts of Wisconsin and into Northern Minnesota. In the late 40's they both decided that there was a greater opportunity to be had in the maple syrup business than in farming. My Anderson's Maple My Anderson's Maple My Anderson's Maple is an opportunity for you, your family or friend to get to know a real, live Sugar Maple tree in the Wisconsin Northwoods and become part of a sustainable family tradition. Grade B maple syrup is sold only in one and five gallon jugs, but can be packed in larger quantities upon request. This is darker colored syrup and has a much stronger flavor than grade a maple syrup. It is best used as a sweetener in cooking and whenever you want a very strong maple flavor to come through in. Depending on the time of season and weather conditions maple syrup will turn out to be different grades even though it was boiled down exactly the same way. The light colored syrups are grade A and the darker colored and stronger flavored syrups are Grade B. Grade B is great as a cooking additive to sweeten up many different foods. Some people even enjoy the stronger flavor with their pancakes and waffles. Some studies have shown that Grade B maple syrup has slightly more nutritional value than its Grade counterparts. The stronger flavor and greater nutritional value have made Grade B maple syrup an excellent additive for many different diets over the years and may be just what you have been looking for.
