  5. An exampleIn-text citation: The height of a horse is measured from its shoulder to the ground (Connor, 2008).References page: Connor, L. (2008). The complete book on horses. New York: Random House.

  6. To cite a source1. Decide what type of source it is: book, journal article, magazine article, newspaper article, website.2. Follow the appropriate pattern in listing it on the References page.

  7. DO NOT MEMORIZE THIS!Every time you list a source on your References page, look up the appropriate pattern and follow it.
