  4. Did you know...? Approx 250,000 students did not get a place at Uni in 2011/12 (170,000 in 2010.....) University drop-out rates are around1 in 4 64% of students said that they learn better outside of the classroom

Benefits of an Apprenticeship • Earning money whilst learning a trade / skill! • Working with experienced people, find out what that career path is really about • No debt!!!! • Available across most job sectors • Get qualifications – 1 vocational + 1 theoretical • Great chance of a full time job & paid holidays • Level 3 (Advanced Apprenticeship = 2 A Levels ) Level 4 (Higher Apprenticeship = First 2 years of a degree)

Foundation Degrees • Higher Education qualifications that combine academic study with work-based learning • Designed jointly by universities, colleges & employers, Foundation Degrees are available in a range of work-related subjects • Level 5 equivalent to 2 years at University • Top up to a full degree with 1 year at University or HE College • Flexible- full or part-time study • Great chance of a full time job at the end!

  16. Sponsored Degrees Employer Funded Study Debt free degree Study part-time at University for a course related to the work you are doing for the employer Like an Apprenticeship, but achieving a degree (paid for by employer!)
