  1. Opportunities and Challenges of Cloud Computing to Improve Resources and Services Before getting into the main topic, let me define cloud computing. If I am right, you all have heard the name cloud computing. It is not the newest but recent technology that focuses on providing sharable and secures IT services at any place via the internet. Cloud Computing is the on-demand delivery of all IT assets using the internet and is a pay-per-use service. In non-geek terms, cloud computing is accessing complex applications, large data centres, and high processing speed on a pay-per-use service. It is similar to taking a furnished flat for rent, where you use all required things for a certain amount of time and pay for them. It reduces the burden of start-ups and small companies to buy expensive resources for a limited time. You can also read: What is the salary of AI engineer in India? Cloud Computing provides 3 types of services: Cloud Computing provides 3 types of services: 1. Infrastructure as a service 2. Software as a Service 3. Platform as a Service

  2. Software as a Service (SaaS) This cloud computing service provides the use of an application with all its IT assets to the user. The application is located on the host server, and the user does not need to install the software to its system. SaaS is a software distribution system where software is installed on the host server, and the user can access it over the internet. It makes the user avail of all the services of the underlying application. You can also read: Is UpGrad worth it? Is a data science course from UpGrad good? Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) By using IaaS, users can use the infrastructure through the internet. The infrastructure includes servers, processing, storage, networking, and more. This facilitates the user to change the configuration as per needs. There are three models in IaaS: public, private, and hybrid. Platform as a Service (PaaS) This cloud service provides a platform to the user. A third party provides services or resources, like hardware and software, to the consumer. It helps programmers with the development of complete web development lifecycle, including development, designing, testing, deployment, maintenance, and updating. It helps in distributing the use of resources. You can check who is using the resource, assign resources, and how it is being used. It also provides a dashboard to keep track of utilized resources. It helps in the effective and efficient utilization of resources, and businesses can keep track of the used resources by managing and cost-cutting. Cloud computing provides an easy way for start-ups and businesses who want to use IT assets quickly without spending significantly. There is a high demand for cloud computing experts as they help utilize on-demand resources more effectively and at reduced prices.
