  3. Fort Hays State University • Seamless education • Students from high schools are encouraged to start with IT Essentials, Discovery, or Exploration. • Community and technical colleges can make similar offerings.

Fort Hays State University • Fort Hays State University incorporates the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Exploration curriculum into the BS and BA in Information Networking and Telecommunications with a concentration in Computer Networking and Telecommunications. • The classes can also be used in the Information Assurance, Web, and MIS tracks.

  5. Fort Hays State University • FHSU also offers CCNP, Information Assurance, Data Communications and Network Architecture, Web, Oracle Database and other advanced work which can be used as major electives or in a masters program.

Fort Hays State University • Fort Hays State offers credit for the CCNA in the following manner: • INT 291 Internetworking I includes Cisco Semester I, • INT 292 Internetworking II includes Cisco Semester II, • INT 293 Internetworking III includes Cisco Semester III & VI. • We are very willing to accept college credit from community colleges who offer the Exploration CCNA curriculum, but do limit credit for course work at 9 credit hours.

  7. Transferability • Up to 12 credit hours areaccepted into the 54 credit hour major. • Students may transfer 12 credits as free electives • Most general education courses will be accepted. • Accreditation organizations require 124 credit hours with a minimum of 60 credit hours at the 4-year university level to earn a bachelors degree.

  8. Fort Hays State University • The bachelors and masters degrees in Information Networking and Telecommunications are offered both on-campus and fully on-line.
